What's this Guide For?
If you'd like to be able to send your customers tracking numbers for their WooCommerce orders then StoreFeeder has a feature that will allow you to do so in the form of a note on a WooCommerce 'Order Update' email that the customer will receive upon despatch of their order (along with their despatch notification email).
All it takes to set this up is to follow the simple steps below.
Step 1.
Head over to your WooCommerce integration details by going to 'Settings' -> 'Integration Manager' -> 'Your Integrations' and clicking 'Edit/View Integration' on your WooCommerce integration.
Now that you're on your WooCommerce Integration Details page you'll see there's a section titled 'WooCommerce Settings', under that there is a toggle marked 'Order Tracking Note Settings' - switch this to 'On' and you should see a 'Tracking Note Template' appear.
Step 2.
You'll see that we've provided a default template for you to use if you don't want to spend time personalising it. However, if you do wish to change the template you are more than welcome to do so! Try to avoid changing the tokens, though if you accidentally change one here's a list of the tokens that it would be wise to include:
- Customer first name - {{shippingFirstName}}
- Customer last name - {{shippingLastName}}
- Order tracking number - {{trackingNumber}}
- Courier Name - {{carrierName}}
- Tracking URL "Click here" link - <a href='{{trackingUrl}}'>here</a>
Once you are happy with your template, be sure to click the save button at the bottom of the page.
And that's all you need to do! From now on when your customers receive shipping notifications from WooCommerce, they will also receive an 'order update' email containing your new tracking note template - filled in using information from their order.
