How to Integrate with Shopify
This page will help you integrate Shopify webstores with StoreFeeder
Our Shopify integration enables you to:
- Download your Shopify Orders
- Mark orders as despatched on Shopify and notify customers
- Update and synchronise your Shopify inventory from StoreFeeder
- Import any listing created on Shopify into StoreFeeder
- Create product listings on Shopify
Integrating StoreFeeder with your Shopify marketplace is a simple process. Just follow the instructions below and you should be up and running in no time.
Step by Step Guide
Step 1.
First, sign into StoreFeeder using your login details. You will then be brought to the 'Dashboard' and will see a yellow bar at the top of the page indicating that you have sales channels that have not been tested. To begin the integration, click on the link in the yellow bar.
Step 2.
You will now see the 'Integration Manager' page and a list of all of your channels.
To integrate your Shopify channel, look for 'Existing Webstore Integrations' and then click on 'Edit/View Integration'.
If Shopify does not already appear on this list then you will need to set up a new integration for it; you can do this by scrolling to the top right of the Integration Manager page and clicking the green button marked "+ New Integration".
Step 3.
If you are creating a new integration you will then be greeted by the following screens where you will need to pick the circled options.
If you are editing an already existing integration, you can skip this step.
You will then be asked to input a name for the integration and if you wish to extend permissions to all users on your account. Once you have finished, click the '+Add Integration' to proceed.
You will now see the 'Integration Details' page for this channel. In the 'Integration Profile Section' you can edit your Profile Name, select a Company Identity and set the channel’s Active status.
StoreFeeder has pre-set the majority of these settings on this page. This is because the integration will default to the '' mode within StoreFeeder when it is created, allowing for the connection to be easily checked. Leave these settings as they are until you are ready to go live.
Step 4.
You now need to link your Shopify account to StoreFeeder. To do this, you will need to first log into your Shopify account and click the 'Apps' link in the menu bar on the left of page.

You will see all the apps you have added to your Shopify store. Now click the 'Manage private apps' button near the middle of the page.
You will now need to create StoreFeeder as an app on your Shopify store. Click the 'Create Private App' button circled below...
Set the title of the app as 'StoreFeeder' and enter your contact e-mail in the 'Emergency developer email' field.
You will need to set the permissions for StoreFeeder to be able to connect and function with Shopify. Follow the image below for the recommended permissions.
Every permission not listed here can be left as "No access".
After these permissions have been set, hit the 'Save' button. Then, after you have read through the Shopify API Terms, click 'I understand, create the app'.
Step 5.
You will now see the 'API Key' and 'Password' information needed to link the Shopify site to StoreFeeder. Copy and paste this information into the corresponding fields on your Shopify integration page in StoreFeeder.
Now head back over to StoreFeeder and enter the 'API Key' and 'Password' into their respective fields.
You're nearly done! Now, the last thing you need to do add the Shopify 'Shop URL' which will be in this format: https://Your-Shopify-Store.myshopify.com/.
Step 6.
Once all this information has been added, click the 'Test Connection' button to check that the channel can connect successfully, the screen should then look something like this:
If the connection fails, check you have entered your API Key, password and store URL correctly, and there are no leading or trailing spaces in your details or shop URL.
Once the channel can connect, click the 'Save' button to complete the integration.
Congratulations! Your Shopify account and your StoreFeeder account are now integrated.
