Getting Started Guide         (Main & Banquet Packages)

Please read carefully prior to proceeding with your setup.

StoreFeeder is a high quality multi-channel stock control and order processing system that relies heavily on SKUs to identify products and listings. To work with the StoreFeeder system, you should be working by SKU and your data should be of good quality with good descriptions, pictures and titles.

To set up StoreFeeder you have a number of choices to make based on where the best data is currently stored. Our advice is to import your initial set of product data from the most accurate source. This is often your website or accountancy package, but can include Amazon or eBay. It is important to distinguish between 'Products' and 'Listings'.

Following this easy guide will ensure your Main/Banquet setup runs smoothly. You can choose to set up the Order Processing points (7 & 8) first if you wish.

  1. Linking eBay, Amazon and Websites is easy with StoreFeeder, this set of guides will show you how to link your channels – StoreFeeder Setup.

Once you have linked your channel turn 'Automatic Listing Downloads' and 'Order Downloads' to 'On' – Go to 'Settings > Edit Integration > Channel Settings'. This will allow you to import all listings from that channel. Make sure your channel is set to 'Active'

  1. Import Inventory from your chosen source with as many fields as possible, including all variations with their own SKUs, to create 'Products'. Go to 'Products > Product Import' and choose the file to upload. You will be asked to map the fields prior to importing.

If you wish to import your product data from a channel such as eBay or Amazon simply wait for listings to download from that channel, then 'Create Products' from the listings screen, ensuring any duplicates are deleted in the products screen afterwards. You will need to map any duplicate listings to a single product to ensure full stock control. This guide will help you create products from listings.

*LISTING TEMPLATE users must ensure the product description is clean of HTML prior to importing or import to create products then cleanse the data by CSV description upload to ensure descriptions are clean ready for the template HTML to be added.

  1. When all "listings" are downloaded into the listings tab you can “map” them to existing products by going to Products, leaving all tick-boxes blank, then pressing the 'Map All By SKU' button – this will map all 'listings' on your channel to your "products" in the inventory if they hold the same SKU.

Mapping individual listings to products – If the product exists but under a different SKU you can map any listing to it by searching for the right product. Simply go to the Listings tab, select the listing you wish to map and hit the create/map button on the right. This will allow you to search for the right product and map the listing to it.

Variation listings should have the same variations as the inventory products prior to mapping. If your listing is a variation listing and you create a product from it, the newly created product will automatically become a variation product. You will need to ensure that all variations created have accurate stock levels so that StoreFeeder can accurately control all variations of that product.

Duplicate listings can be linked to any product – the inventory will be controlled by the product for all listings that are linked to it.

  1. Repeat for Amazon listings, website or eBay listings as required.
  2. The inventory total for each product then needs updating with the latest stock count by exporting SKU and inventory fields, and re-importing with the correct values to do a final stock update ('Products > Bulk Inventory Update'). Inventory control should be turned on for that channel to begin controlling all stocks from StoreFeeder. ('Settings > Edit integration > Listing Inventory Updates > ON').  
If you are sure that your original data source’s Inventory levels are correct at the time of upload into StoreFeeder, you can turn the 'Listing Inventory Updates' button ON as soon as you have imported your data. Any listings you then map to the product will be automatically updated with these inventory levels.
  1. Orders will start to appear quite quickly in the system right from the start. To set up Order Processing for your orders, go to 'Settings > Shipping Configuration > Shipping Rules' and create shipping rules based on your current setup. Here is a guide to shipping rules.
  2. You will also have to set up a courier in the system so that orders can be processed. Tracking numbers and despatch notifications are sent to channel alongside key inventory data. To help you set up couriers in the system there are handy guides to courier integration and manifest creation.
  3. Creating new listings – The above points will link the listings to the products you have imported and then control your stocks and listings on your chosen channels.  You can then proceed to start listing the products in the inventory out to alternative channels. This is achieved by clicking 'Products > Edit Product > Listings > New Listing'.
