Creating A Pickwave and Despatching Your Orders

To create a pickwave, you will first need to navigate to the 'Picking' page in StoreFeeder ('Warehouse' > 'Picking'). You will see all orders that are ready to be picked and despatched.

Only orders with a status of 'Complete (Ready To Pick) will appear on the picking page. An order with this status means that it is both paid for and can be fulfilled.


First select the warehouse from which you will be despatching these orders from by selecting the 'Warehouse' from the drop down menu.

Here you will be able to filter the orders by 'Channel', 'Order Date', 'Package Size', 'Shipping Method' etc. Doing this will allow you to add orders of the same type to a single pickwave, enabling you to organise your picking process in a way that will suit you.

You can select multiple items in the drop down box filters when creating pickwaves. For example, you may want to process all your Royal Mail 24 and Royal Mail Tracked 24 orders before you process your Royal Mail 48 orders. To do this, simply check the box next to the items you want to include in the filter, as shown in the image below, and all orders without the selected shipping methods will be filtered out.


To create the pickwave, click the check box next to an order you want to add to the new pickwave (clicking the 'tick all' box will add all orders within the applied filter), select the picker from the 'Picker' drop down box and click the 'Create Pickwave' button to add these orders to a new pickwave.

You will see a notification confirming the pickwave has been created and the picking list for this group of orders will be produced. Once you have created the pickwave, you can produce your 'Picking List', 'Packing List' and 'Invoices' at this point. To do so, simply click on the 'Print' button below the corresponding option as shown in the above image and your paperwork will be displayed as a PDF.

You can either 'Quick Despatch' the pickwave to mark the orders as despatched in StoreFeeder or you can click on the 'Pickwave ID' to see the order in the pickwave in more detail or remove orders from the pickwave.

 The 'Edit Pickwave' page gives you more information on the pickwave and the orders it contains as well as enabling you to make changes to the pickwave once you have created it.

You can apply the actions shown in the drop down below to the orders in the pickwave. Simply check the box next to the order line or lines that you want to perform the bulk action to, select the action from the list in the menu and click the 'Confirm' button as shown in the image below.

You can also use the 'Group By Orders' option to group all the line items into their respective orders. If this option is on, bulk actions cannot be performed to the pickwave.

Once the pickwave has been despatched, it will move to the 'Completed Pickwaves' tab on your picking screen. This will show you your last five completed pickwaves and allow you to quickly reproduce any paperwork for them.

On the left of the screen you will see the 'Open Pickwaves' and 'Completed Pickwaves' tabs. These will show you all open and completed pickwaves on StoreFeeder.

Below you can see the 'Completed Pickwaves' screen. Here you can see all completed pickwaves. You will be able to reprint 'Picking Lists', 'Packing Lists' and any 'Invoices'. You can also add 'Tracking Numbers' to orders from this page individually.
