Creating a product and a listing in StoreFeeder is a simple process. This knowledge base article will will take you through it step by step.

First log into StoreFeeder, and in the blue bar at the top of the screen hover over products and click 'Manage Products'.

To create a simple product, enter the name of your product into the 'Product Name' field and select 'Simple Product' from the 'Product Type' drop down menu. If you use your own product SKU, enter it in the 'Product SKU' field. If not, StoreFeeder will generate a SKU for you. Once you have entered the relevant information, click the 'Create' button.

The 'Tax Class' for the product can also be set and an option for marking if the 'Price Includes VAT'. The 'Weight' of the product can be added as well as the 'Warehouse' where the product is located and a 'Manufacturer' name. The 'EAN' and 'UPC' fields are used for associating barcode information with the product if you wish to pick and despatch orders using a barcode scanner.

Scroll down the page to the 'Product Suppliers' section. Here you will be able to input the suppliers information for the product. 'Priority Order' determines which order you order stock from a supplier when a product is out of stock. 0 represents your favored supplier, with 1,2,3 etc ascending in order of least preferred. A supplier can be selected from the 'Supplier' drop down box and their SKU for a product can be entered in the 'Supplier SKU'.

If you and your supplier use the same SKUs, just enter your SKU. 'Cost Price' and 'Supplier Stock Level' can be manually set or brought into StoreFeeder via a feed from the supplier. The 'Lead Time' and 'Supplier Carton Quantity' values can also be entered. Once all of the correct information has been entered, click the 'Save' button.

Now click on 'Description' in the menu on the left side of the screen. You will be taken to the 'Product Description' page. Here you can enter any description information you have about your product. You can also enter HTML by clicking on the 'HTML' tab on the bottom left of the description box. Once you have entered a product description, click the 'Save' button.

Click 'Images' in the menu on the left. Here you can add images to your product. These images will be used both in StoreFeeder and on your listing. To upload an image, first click the 'New Image' as shown in the image below.

A box will appear asking you to select a file. Find the image file you wish to upload from your computer and click 'Open'.

More than one image can be added to a product. Simply repeat the above process. To set an image as the default image, click 'Make As Default' next to the image you wish to select.

Additional information may need to be added to the product. A 'Manufacturer Part Number' and 'Additional Barcodes' can be added as well as the location of the 'Pick Bin' the item is stored in.

A 'Manual Re-Order Level' can be set. This is the value at which stock will be added to a purchase order ready for when you next raise one. The 'Calculated Re-Order Level' will also be shown here if one is set as well as how many of this item you currently have 'On Purchase Order'.

'Package Size' can be selected if you have created them and the amount of this item that can be contained in that particular package can be set in 'Packaging Quantity'.

Scroll down the page. In the 'Product Attribute' section, custom attributes can be added to a product which can then be put up onto a listing as channel item specifics. To add a new custom attribute, click on the 'New Custom Attribute' button. Enter the name of the attribute you want to add and click 'Add Custom Attribute'. Then click 'Add One Now'. Select your custom attribute from the dropdown box then enter the value of the attribute in the 'Value' box. Once all the data has been entered, click the 'Save' button.
