Sometimes it will be necessary to adjust your product stock levels and locations. In this guide, we will show you how to make adjustments to the location of your stock within StoreFeeder, both manually, and as a bulk upload.

Please note that Multi-Stock Locations is a paid feature for Enterprise level customers. If you would like this feature adding into your StoreFeeder account, please speak to our sales or support teams.

Manual Stock Location Adjustments for Individual Products

To adjust your product stock location manually, first navigate to ('Products'>'Manage Products') and select from your list the product you would like to adjust the stock level for. Next select the 'Adjustments/Transfers' tab.

You will be taken to the page displayed below, where you will see a drop down box for 'Adjustment Type' as shown:

 The options are:

Manual Relative Adjustment: Allows you to increase or decrease your stock level by the value in the 'Adjustment Amount' box.

Absolute Relative Adjustment: Sets your stock total to the value in the 'Adjustment Amount' box

Stock Location Transfer: Allows you to transfer stock between stock locations (Multi-stock location only).

Note that a product must have more than 1 stock location assigned to it in order for you to select this option. otherwise, it will be greyed out. To add a new stock location to a product, you will need to select 'Additional Information' and then in the 'Current Stock Locations' box, select a new stock location from the 'Stock Location' drop down box, and then click the green '+ Add to Stock Location' button.

Once you have selected 'Stock Location Transfer', you will be presented with the following options:

Product SKU: If the product has variants, you can select a particular variant you would like to transfer.

Current Inventory: Displays your current stock total for that product/variant

Adjustment Type: Leave this on Stock Location Transfer

Adjustment Amount: The quantity you would like to transfer

New Inventory: Displays the current stock total after adjustments have been made

Reason: An optional field to add additional information

Immediate Transfer: Use this if you wish for the change to be immediately added from an 'Unspecified Location' as opposed to another Warehouse.

Once happy with your changes, click the 'Save Adjustments' button to save your changes:

To view the trail of stock location adjustments, click the 'Stock Location Adjustment Log' tab as shown:

 Bulk Stock Location Adjustments

You can adjust the stock locations for multiple products at once by uploading your product details in a spreadsheet.

If you do not have a spreadsheet template already, you can download a blank template for each of your warehouses by navigating to 'Warehouses'>'Stock Locations'>'Stock location Overview', and selecting 'Export Transfer Template' from the drop down box as shown below, and then clicking the 'Confirm' button. A window will appear asking you to select the location you would like to export a template for. Click the 'Create Export' button when you have made your selection, and save the spreadsheet to your computer/device.

To make a bulk stock location update with your exported template, you will first need to fill the template with the relevant data, keeping the fields the same.

To upload your spreadsheet and update your stock locations, click the 'Import Stock Locations' tab on the 'Stock Location Overview' page that should still be open. You will be presented with the folowing set of options:

File to Import: Click the 'Select File' button and choose the spreadsheetf rom your computer/device.

Import Type: Choose 'Update' to update your existing products, or 'create' to add new product locations into Storefeeder.

Continue on Error: If an error occurs during uploading, this switch wil determine if data enters StoreFeeder anyway. Leave this option set to 'Off' if you are not sure.

Mappings: Use these to ensure each field on your spreadsheet is mapped to a field in StoreFeeder.
