Tesco Marketplace now operates using Mirakl, a modern marketplace management platform.
StoreFeeder integrates directly with Mirakl, allowing sellers to sync their offers, stock, and pricing seamlessly.
Tesco should already have:
- Set up Mirakl accounts for all existing Tesco Marketplace sellers.
- Migrated your product data into the Mirakl Catalogue.
- Provided basic training covering the difference between Products and Offers.
This guide explains how to connect your Mirakl (Tesco) account to StoreFeeder and begin managing your listings.
Before You Begin
Get Your Mirakl Account
- Tesco should have provided login details for your Mirakl account.
- If you have not received these, contact Tesco Support directly.
Confirm You Are in the Tesco Production Environment
- Once logged in, check the top-left corner of the Mirakl dashboard.
- It should say “Tesco Production”.
- If it shows “Sandbox” or “Test”, contact Tesco to ensure you are using the correct live environment.
Setting Up Users and API Access in Mirakl
Create or Review User Access
- Ensure your account has appropriate permissions.
- Users with Owner or Manager roles are typically suitable for API integrations.
Generate an API Key
- Click on your initials in the top-right corner.
- Select Personal Settings.
- Navigate to API Key.
- Click Generate a New API Key.
- Copy the generated key, you’ll need it for StoreFeeder.
Important: The API key is tied to your user account. If that user is disabled or permissions change, the integration may stop working.
Connecting Mirakl to StoreFeeder
- In StoreFeeder, go to Settings → Integration Manager
- Click + New Integration.
Choose Marketplace → Mirakl as the marketplace and follow the steps on screen.
- When created, in the "Marketplace" dropdown, select "Tesco"
- Paste the API Key you generated in Mirakl.
- Click Test Connection.
- If the test is successful, you’ll see a confirmation message.
- Click Save to complete setup.
Understanding Products and Offers in Mirakl
Mirakl separates Products (the shared catalogue entries) from Offers (your specific listings).
- Products: These are central catalogue entries shared across all sellers. Each product contains core data such as title, description, attributes, and images.
- Offers: Your individual listing that defines your price, stock, and delivery details for a product.
Tesco should have already migrated your product data from your old Marketplacer integration into Mirakl’s catalogue.
Creating and Managing Offers
How Offers Work
Offers are what you actually sell. Think of this as similar to Amazon’s system:
- A single product may exist in the Tesco catalogue, but you add your own offer to sell it.
- Offers include:
- Stock quantity
- Price
- Lead time or shipping details
- Optional additional sales information
Once created, your offers appear as listings and are downloaded into StoreFeeder (if you have Download Listings enabled).
Creating Offers in Mirakl
To create an offer:
- Go to Price & Stock in Mirakl.
- Search for an existing product in the catalogue.
- Select it and enter your price, stock, and any other offer details.
- Save the offer.
If Tesco has not migrated your existing offers, you’ll need to recreate them manually or in bulk.
**Important: Offers inside Mirakl will be "Pending" until 15th October. In order to download these pending listings in order to map them correctly, ready for the 15th, users should toggle this setting to "ON" and click "Save":
**Please note: There is a small issue with this setting, that means that when you save this setting and leave the page, it will show as "OFF" on the page if you return. So please set to "ON", click "Save" and be assured it is on as listings will come into the listings page on StoreFeeder
Bulk Offer Creation
If you have many products:
- Use the File Import feature in Mirakl.
- Download the Offer Import Templates available on that page.
- Complete them with your product and offer data.
- Upload them back to Mirakl for processing.
Tip: Tesco can advise on the best approach for bulk creation and validation of offers.
Creating New Products
If you want to sell a new product that is not yet in Tesco’s catalogue:
- When creating an offer, choose “Create New Product” instead of selecting an existing catalogue item.
- Provide the required product information.
- Tesco will review the submission.
- Once approved, the product is added to the catalogue and your offer will go live.
Managing Offers from StoreFeeder
Once your integration is connected:
- StoreFeeder can download offers from Mirakl.
- You can map these offers to your StoreFeeder products for accurate inventory control.
- If Listing Upload is enabled, you can also:
- Create new offers in Tesco directly from StoreFeeder.
- Update price and stock automatically based on your StoreFeeder data.
Troubleshooting and Support
If you encounter issues:
- Tesco Support: For Mirakl login problems, offer creation, or catalogue issues.
- StoreFeeder Support: For integration connection errors or listing download problems.
