eBay Specific Settings
There are a number of settings that are unique to eBay integrations. Depending on how your business uses eBay, you may need to alter some of these settings in order to ensure that StoreFeeder processes your listings and orders correctly. The details of each option and what it affects are listed below:
Import Unpaid Orders
By default, StoreFeeder will only import orders from eBay where payment has already been received. However, if you allow delayed payments on eBay then you may wish to import orders that are still awaiting payment so that you can allocate stock etcetera. If this is the case, you will want to set the Import Unpaid Orders setting to On. This will tell StoreFeeder to also import orders which have been placed but not paid for yet.
Download Orders from All Marketplaces
If you sell on multiple eBay marketplaces (for example, ebay.fr and ebay.de) and you would like to treat all of them as a single channel in StoreFeeder, you can do this by setting Download Orders from All Marketplaces to On. This will mean that all of your eBay orders will come in through this integration. If you enable this option we will download all your listings from all these channels as well and they will all appear under the one integration. If you sell on a large number of marketplaces, or you sell on marketplaces with different currencies, we recommend that you instead set up parent/child relationships between your eBay integrations using the Parent Channel setting detailed later in this Knowledgebase.
Automatic Relisting
This setting is set to On by default, which means that StoreFeeder will relist your listings when they expire on eBay. If you do not want this to happen, then set Automatic Relisting to Off. This will mean that once your listings end, they will not be relisted and will no longer be visible on eBay. If you wish to list that product again, you will need to create a new listing for it.
Use Selling Manager
This setting, which is set to On by default, instructs StoreFeeder to use an abbreviated format for eBay order reference numbers. If you think you are likely to require the full-length order reference for any reason, you can set this to Off.
PayPal Email
This is a mandatory field, since all listings on eBay are required to have PayPal as a payment option.
Using Business Policies
This option is automatically set when your account is linked. If you are set up then you will be able to use your Business Policies that have been set up on channel against your eBay listings in StoreFeeder.
Description Contains Price
If you use a listing template for eBay, it is possible that your description will refer to the price of the listing. If this is the case, it is advisable to use the Description Contains Price setting here. If this setting is set to On, StoreFeeder will look at your listing descriptions whenever your prices are updated to see if the listing price is referenced and, if it is, update it to match the new price. This setting is set to Off by default because it may slow down your pricing updates.
Download Auction Orders
StoreFeeder does not yet support auction listings for eBay; however, there may be cases where you have an auction listing and wish to import orders for those listings into StoreFeeder. For example, you may be auctioning off a special item for charity and want to include it in your shipping manifests, which are produced through StoreFeeder. The Download Auction Orders setting is useful for cases like these. If this setting is set to On, StoreFeeder will import orders for auction listings as well as Buy It Now listings, so that you can process these orders through StoreFeeder. Be aware, however, that these will not be linked to products.
Using Markdown Manager
If you use the Markdown Manager on eBay to create sales, this can lead to conflicts with the prices of your listings in StoreFeeder. Fortunately, the Using Markdown Manager setting allows you to get around this. Changing this setting to On will instruct StoreFeeder to check for sale prices and incorporate them into your listings, ensuring that your sale will not be overridden by StoreFeeder.
Download Channel Messages
If you set Download Channel Messages to On, StoreFeeder will store a copy of your eBay messages so that you can check them without having to log into eBay. To view these messages in StoreFeeder, click on Settings to go to the Settings page, then select Messaging > Messaging Overview from the left-hand menu.
Preserve Sales
This setting allows your listings to remain unchangeable as long as they are part of an active sale.
If you switch this setting to On, you will be unable to update any listings on this channel, except to change the inventory, while the listing is part of an active sale. Additionally, The 'Save and Upload' button on listings will be disabled while the sale is active.
Parent Channel
For eBay sellers who use a large number of marketplaces, or marketplaces in differing currencies, the most efficient way to import orders from eBay is by setting up parent/child relationships between your marketplaces. To do this, you will need to create a different eBay integration for each marketplace you use. The eBay marketplace that you originally signed up to will be your parent channel, and all other marketplaces will need to be designated as children of it. This is done by setting the Parent Channel field in each of the children integrations to the name of the parent integration. It is also important that the parent channel has Download Orders from All Marketplaces set to Off to avoid duplication of orders within StoreFeeder.
