This guide explains how to mark drop shipment orders as despatched in StoreFeeder, both for several drop shipments at once from the grid and for a single drop shipment from its edit page.
Before you start
Go to Products > Drop Shipments to open the Drop Shipping page, which lists every drop shipment on your account.
Despatching doesn't ask for a tracking number or courier, and it despatches the whole drop shipment in one go — there's no way to despatch only some lines or part of a quantity from either page below.
Despatching drop shipments in bulk from the grid
Use this when you want to despatch several drop shipments in one action.
- Go to Products > Drop Shipments.
- Optionally use the Dropshipment Status filter to find the drop shipments you want.
- Tick the checkbox next to each drop shipment you want to despatch.
- From the bulk actions dropdown, select Mark as despatched.
- Click Confirm.
Once it's worked, you'll see a confirmation message telling you how many drop shipments were marked as despatched.
Despatching a single drop shipment from the Edit Drop Shipment page
Use this when you're already looking at one drop shipment and want to despatch it from there.
- From the Drop Shipping grid, click View or Edit next to the drop shipment to open its Edit Drop Shipment page.
- Click Mark Drop Shipment as Despatched.
What happens when a drop shipment is despatched
Despatching a drop shipment, either from the grid or from its edit page:
- Sets the drop shipment's own status to Complete.
- Marks every line on the drop shipment as received, and the matching order line as sent.
- If that was the last line still to be sent on the parent order, updates the order's status to Shipped By Supplier and stamps its despatch date.
Troubleshooting
"Please select one or more drop shipments"
You clicked Confirm on the grid without ticking any rows first. Tick at least one drop shipment, then choose Mark as despatched again.
"X out of Y drop shipments marked as despatched. Please ensure drop shipments are in a sent status before attempting to despatch."
Some of the drop shipments you selected are still in Draft status, so StoreFeeder skipped them. Send those drop shipments to the supplier first, then despatch them.
"Unable to mark drop shipment as dispatched, please ensure the drop shipment is in a sent status."
This appears on the Edit Drop Shipment page when the drop shipment is still in Draft status. Use Send drop shipment from the grid to send it to the supplier, then come back and despatch it.
