This article explains how StoreFeeder handles Temu's price recommendations, how to review them on the Price Recommendations page, and how to set a minimum acceptable price for each Temu listing, one at a time or in bulk.
How Temu pricing works
Temu reviews every price before it goes live. When StoreFeeder sends Temu a price, it is sent as a price request. The price becomes your listing price only once Temu approves it. Temu can also reject the price or reply with a counter-offer.
Once a day Temu also sends recommended prices for your listings. A listing can have up to two, labelled low traffic and restricted traffic. When both are given, StoreFeeder works with the lower of the two. That is the price you accept, and the price StoreFeeder sends automatically.
StoreFeeder retrieves recommendations once a day and checks every hour for Temu's answers to the prices you've sent.
Minimum acceptable price
The Minimum Acceptable Price is the lowest price you're happy to sell a Temu listing for. It controls what StoreFeeder does automatically:
| When Temu sends… | What StoreFeeder does |
|---|---|
| A recommendation at or above your minimum | Accepts it automatically and sends it to Temu as a price request. |
| A recommendation below your minimum | Doesn't send it. The listing is flagged as Attention Required so you can decide. |
| A counter-offer at or above your minimum | Accepts it automatically. |
| A counter-offer below your minimum | Doesn't accept it. The listing is flagged as Attention Required. |
| Anything, with no minimum set | Nothing is accepted automatically. You review each recommendation yourself on the Price Recommendations page. |
A recommendation is only sent automatically when it is lower than your current listing price. If your price is already at or below Temu's recommendation, StoreFeeder leaves it alone.
The minimum must be at least 0.01, with no more than 2 decimal places, and is in the Temu channel's currency. You can set it in three places: on the listing page, on the Price Recommendations page, or for many listings at once with Listing Import. All three are covered below.
The Price Recommendations page
Go to Settings > Integrations, open your Temu channel, then choose Price Recommendations from the menu on the left. The page lists Temu's recommendations for your listings and the status of every price sent to Temu. The top of the page shows when recommendations were last retrieved.
By default the grid shows only listings that need attention. Change the Needs Attention filter to Any to see every Temu listing. The Needs Attention column tells you why a listing needs you:
- Accept or reject Temu's recommendation
- Recommendation below your minimum acceptable price
- Accept or reject Temu's counter-offer
- Temu rejected your price
- Temu refused your price
Columns
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Status | Where the latest price sent to Temu has got to. See the status table below. |
| Detail | A one-line explanation, for example the price in review and when it was sent, or Temu's reason for a rejection. |
| Listing SKU | Links to the listing page. |
| Your Price | The listing's current price in StoreFeeder. |
| Minimum Acceptable Price | Your minimum, or Not set. Use Set minimum or Edit to change it. |
| Recommended (Low Traffic) / Recommended (Restricted Traffic) | Temu's latest recommendations. |
| Price Sent to Temu | The price in the latest price request. |
| Supplier Costs | The product's supplier costs, to help you judge a recommendation. Shown only to users allowed to see supplier costs or names. |
| Temu SKU ID / Channel Identifier | Temu's identifiers for the listing. |
Actions
Each row shows only the buttons that apply to it:
- Accept: sends Temu's recommendation as a price request. You can accept a recommendation below your minimum here, because the minimum only limits what StoreFeeder accepts automatically.
- Accept counter-offer: accepts the price Temu offered in place of yours.
- Reject: dismisses the recommendation or Temu's answer. The listing stops needing attention, and shows again only if Temu recommends or answers a different price. A rejected recommendation is never accepted automatically.
- Propose new price: sends a price of your own to Temu. The price can't be below your minimum acceptable price. Lower the minimum first if you need to.
- Set minimum / Edit: sets or changes the listing's minimum acceptable price. Leave the box empty and save to remove the minimum.
A new minimum is used at the next hourly Temu price check.
Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| None | No price has been requested. |
| Waiting to send | The price is queued and goes to Temu at the next price check. |
| Sent, unconfirmed | Temu didn't confirm it received the price. The next price check finds out and resends it if needed. |
| In review | Temu is reviewing the price. You can't request another price until the review ends. |
| Approved | Temu approved the price and it is now the listing price. |
| Rejected | Temu rejected the price. The Detail column gives Temu's reason. |
| Counter-offer | Temu offered a different price. Accept or reject it. |
| Failed | Temu refused the price request. The Detail column gives the reason. |
| Below minimum | Temu's recommendation is below your minimum acceptable price, so it wasn't sent. |
| Pricing profile | The listing's price is managed by a pricing profile. See Listings with a pricing profile below. |
Changes to the Temu listing page
Open any Temu listing from Listings. The general section now has a Temu Price panel, with a link to the Price Recommendations page.
- Minimum Acceptable Price: enter the minimum for this listing and save the listing. Clear the box and save to remove it.
- Temu Recommended Price: Temu's latest low traffic and restricted traffic recommendations, or None.
- Requested Price: type a new price and click Submit to Temu to send it as a price request straight away. It can't be below the listing's minimum acceptable price.
- Status: the latest price request and where it has got to, for example the price in review and when it was sent.
Setting minimum acceptable prices in bulk
To set minimums for many Temu listings at once, use Listing Import. The Temu channel has a Minimum Acceptable Price field.
- Go to Listings > Listing Import/Export.
- On the Export tab, export your Temu channel's listings with the Minimum Acceptable Price field.
- Fill in the Minimum Acceptable Price column for each listing.
- On the Import (Update Existing) tab, select your Temu channel and upload the file.
- Map the key field to Listing ID or Listing SKU, and map your column to Minimum Acceptable Price.
- Run the import.
StoreFeeder rejects a row whose minimum is below 0.01 or has more than 2 decimal places. Values aren't rounded. For the full import process, see How to use the Listing Import/Export Feature.
Limits and things to watch for
- Nothing goes live until Temu approves it. Accepting a recommendation or proposing a price sends a request. It doesn't change the price on Temu straight away.
- One price at a time. While a price is in review with Temu, you can't request another for the same listing.
- Prices are per Temu SKU. Listings that share a Temu SKU are sent one price together.
- Prices are in the channel's currency. Minimums, recommendations and requested prices all use the Temu channel's currency.
- No minimum means no automation. Recommendations for a listing without a minimum are never sent automatically.
Troubleshooting
"Enter a minimum acceptable price of at least 0.01, with no more than 2 decimal places."
The minimum is below 0.01 or has more than 2 decimal places. Correct it, or leave the box empty to remove the minimum.
"This is below your minimum acceptable price of …. Lower the minimum to request this price."
The price you entered is lower than the listing's minimum. Lower or remove the minimum first, then request the price again.
"… is in review with Temu. Wait for the review to finish before requesting another price."
Temu is still reviewing an earlier price for this listing. Wait for the status to change from In review.
"Temu's price for this listing has changed since the page was loaded. Check the updated price and try again."
A new recommendation or counter-offer arrived after you opened the page. Check the updated price, then accept again.
"'…' is invalid for the 'Minimum Acceptable Price' field. This value should be at least 0.01." or "… This value should have no more than 2 decimal places."
A row in your listing import has an invalid minimum. Correct the value in the file and import it again.
A recommendation wasn't accepted automatically
Check that the listing has a minimum acceptable price, that the recommendation isn't below it, that your listing price is higher than the recommendation, that you haven't rejected that recommendation, and that the listing isn't managed by a pricing profile.
