This guide explains how to connect your Huxloe 360 account to StoreFeeder, set up shipping methods for the carriers Huxloe offers, and despatch orders with labels and tracking numbers.
Before you start
Huxloe 360 is a multi-carrier shipping platform. Through one Huxloe integration you can despatch with Evri, DPD, DHL Parcel UK, Yodel, DX and InPost, using the services enabled on your Huxloe account.
You'll need all three of these details from Huxloe:
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| API Key | A key you create in the Huxloe 360 portal. You choose its expiry date when you create it. |
| Tenant ID | Your Huxloe 360 tenant ID, provided by Huxloe when your account is set up. |
| User ID | Your Huxloe 360 user ID, provided by Huxloe when your account is set up. |
All three fields are required. StoreFeeder cannot create or look up these details for you.
How to get these details from Huxloe
- API Key: log in to the Huxloe 360 portal and go to Administrator > API Key > Create Key. Make a note of the expiry date you choose.
- Tenant ID and User ID: ask your Huxloe account manager. Every Huxloe customer has their own.
Step 1: Ask us to add the Huxloe integration
The Huxloe integration is currently added to accounts by our support team, so it won't appear in the list when you click + New Integration. Contact StoreFeeder support and ask for Huxloe 360 to be added to your account.
Once it has been added, it appears on the Integration Manager page under Settings > Your Integrations.
Step 2: Enter your Huxloe details
- Go to Settings > Your Integrations and open your Huxloe integration.
- Enter your API Key.
- Enter your Tenant ID and User ID.
- Click Save.
Once saved, the API key field shows API Key Received rather than the key itself. This is expected: StoreFeeder stores the key securely and never displays it again.
Step 3: Create a shipping method for each Huxloe service
- Go to Settings > Shipping Configuration > Shipping Methods and click New Shipping Method.
- Select your Huxloe integration as the courier.
- Select the shipping format shown for Huxloe (there is only one).
- Enter a Profile Name and Shipping Cost, then click Add New Shipping Method.
- On the Edit Shipping Methods page, choose the carrier in Service Level, for example Evri or DPD.
- Choose the service in Service Code.
- Choose a Label Format: PDF for a laser printer, or ZPL for a thermal printer.
- Click Save.
Options such as signature on delivery, leave safe or Saturday delivery are part of the service itself. For example, a DX service name says whether it needs a signature. To offer a different option, create another shipping method with that service.
Only choose a service that is enabled on your Huxloe account and covers the destinations you'll use it for. Some services are for specific destinations: for example, some Yodel services are for Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands only.
Step 4: Despatch your orders
Despatch orders on a Huxloe shipping method in the same way as with any other courier. When an order is despatched:
- each parcel gets its own tracking number from the carrier, and the first one is shown as the order's tracking number. DHL Parcel UK is the exception: it gives one tracking number for the whole shipment;
- the labels for all parcels are saved together, as one PDF or one ZPL file, ready to print;
- your sales channels are told the real carrier, such as Evri or DPD, rather than Huxloe.
Shipping outside GB mainland
Orders to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and international destinations need item details for every order line. StoreFeeder checks them before contacting Huxloe and stops the despatch, naming the product, if anything is missing.
| Destination | What each product needs |
|---|---|
| Northern Ireland | Country of manufacture, weight and a value above zero. A harmonised (HS) code is optional, but if one is set it must have 10 digits. |
| Channel Islands and Isle of Man | Country of manufacture, a 10-digit harmonised (HS) code, weight and a value above zero. |
| International | As for the Channel Islands, plus the customer's email address and phone number on the order. |
| EU countries | As for international, plus a non-standardised product identifier (NS-PID). A standardised identifier (S-PID), such as an EAN, is also sent when the product has one. |
A product's harmonised code is set in its Product Harmonised Code field, and its origin in Country Of Manufacture. Items that aren't linked to a product in StoreFeeder can't be sent to these destinations.
For EU orders, StoreFeeder fills in the identifiers from your existing product fields: the NS-PID from the Manufacturer Part Number or supplier SKU (or, failing those, the S-PID), and the S-PID from the EAN or UPC. Values such as N/A, all zeros, or anything shorter than 5 characters are ignored. For how to check or override these, see New EU Product Identifier Requirements: A Guide for StoreFeeder Users.
Cancelling a despatch
When you cancel the despatch of a Huxloe order, StoreFeeder cancels the label for every parcel with Huxloe. If Huxloe can't cancel any of them, StoreFeeder shows Huxloe's reason and reports that the cancellation failed.
Limits and things to watch for
- A single shipment can have at most 40 parcels.
- Each parcel can hold at most 8 different items. If an order has more, increase the number of packages.
- Outside GB mainland, SKUs can be at most 30 characters, and EU product identifiers at most 70 characters. StoreFeeder never shortens them, because a shortened value would declare a different product. Shorten the value on the product instead.
- Your API key expires on the date you set in the Huxloe portal. Before it does, create a new key and enter it as in Step 2.
Troubleshooting
"Huxloe rejected the credentials. Check the API key (and whether it has expired in the Huxloe portal) and the Tenant ID."
The API key is wrong or has expired, or the Tenant ID doesn't match the key. Create a new key in the Huxloe 360 portal if needed, then re-enter your details as in Step 2.
"Huxloe API key is not configured on this courier" (or Tenant ID / User ID)
One of the three details is missing from the integration. Add it as in Step 2.
"Service '…' is not a Huxloe carrier service. Choose a Huxloe service on the shipping method."
The order's shipping method doesn't have a Huxloe carrier and service selected. Edit the shipping method, as in Step 3.
"… the harmonised (HS) code '…' has … digits; Huxloe requires 10 …"
Huxloe needs the full 10-digit code. Update the product's Product Harmonised Code and despatch again.
"… shipments require the product's country of manufacture", "… require the product weight" or "… require a value greater than zero"
Add the missing detail to the product named in the message and despatch again.
"International shipments require the customer's email address" or "… phone number"
Add the customer's email address or phone number to the order and despatch again.
"EU shipments require a Non Standard Mid Code (the manufacturer's model, part or style number)."
StoreFeeder couldn't find an NS-PID for the product on that line. Add a Manufacturer Part Number to the product, or enter a Non Standard Mid Code on its Shipping & Handling tab.
"… is … characters, but this courier accepts at most …"
A SKU or product identifier is too long for Huxloe. Shorten it on the product, as the message says, and despatch again.
"Huxloe accepts at most 8 different items per parcel. Increase the number of packages and try again."
Increase the number of packages on the order so the items are spread across more parcels.
"Huxloe: …"
Huxloe or the carrier rejected the order, and the rest of the message is their reason. Correct what it describes, often the address, the service or the parcel details, and despatch again.
"Huxloe consignment … was created but the label could not be saved. Reprint it from the Huxloe portal."
The order was despatched and has its tracking number, but StoreFeeder couldn't store the label. Print it from the Huxloe 360 portal instead.
"Huxloe is rate limiting requests. Wait a moment and despatch again."
Huxloe received too many requests at once. Wait a minute and despatch again.
