This article explains what Amazon Delivery Experience details are, how to turn them on, where StoreFeeder shows them on your orders, and what to watch for when you despatch Amazon Business orders.
What is Amazon Delivery Experience?
Amazon Business buyers can tell Amazon which days and hours they are able to receive deliveries, for example a business that is only open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Amazon calls these the Delivery Experience details.
When the setting is on, StoreFeeder imports these details with the order so your team can see them before the order is picked and despatched.
Turning Delivery Experience on or off
Delivery Experience is off by default. To turn it on, go to Settings > Integrations > Amazon > Channel Details and switch on the Amazon Delivery Experience setting. Each Amazon integration is a separate channel, so if you have more than one, turn the setting on for each one you want it to apply to. For more on this and the other Amazon settings, see Amazon Specific Settings.
Where StoreFeeder shows Delivery Experience details
The Attention Required flag
Orders that contain Delivery Experience details are automatically marked as Attention Required, so you can filter the orders grid to find them before shipping. Hover over the A order flag to see the message:
"Order has delivery experience details. Please ensure the correct shipping method is used"
The Edit Order page
On the Edit Order page, the Attention Required message also shows in the Order Information section. The receiving hours themselves are stored in the Special Instructions field in the Shipping & Handling section.
Pickwave creation
When you create a pickwave you can filter by Attention Required in the same way. If you have the Notes column set up on the grid, the receiving hours show there too.
Using the details to plan your despatch
Because you can see the receiving hours before picking, you can group these orders into their own pickwave and despatch them so they arrive on a day the business is open. For example, if a buyer can only receive on the 5th, you could tag the pickwave "Despatch on 4th please" so a next day service arrives on the right day.
The tag then shows against the pickwave in your list of open pickwaves, so your team can see when to despatch it.
Limits and things to watch for
Attention Required affects your order filters. If your despatch process uses a filter that excludes Attention Required orders, Amazon Business orders with Delivery Experience details will not appear in it until the flag is cleared.
Special Instructions can print on your documents. If your invoice or despatch note template includes the Special Instructions field, the receiving hours print there. A long list of hours can push other content down the page.
Troubleshooting
Amazon Business orders are being missed at despatch
These orders are marked Attention Required. Check whether your order filter excludes Attention Required orders, and add a step to your process to review them. If you don't need the receiving hours, switch the Amazon Delivery Experience setting off.
Receiving hours are making my invoice or despatch note too long
Remove the Special Instructions field from the template, or switch the Amazon Delivery Experience setting off if you don't use the details.
"No eligible services found for order. ... rejected by Amazon because Does not meet business operating hours."
This message comes from Amazon when you buy a label through Amazon Buy Shipping. Amazon checks the buyer's receiving hours and rejects any service that would deliver outside them. It happens whether or not the Amazon Delivery Experience setting is on. Try a different service or despatch date, or contact the buyer to confirm their hours or an alternative address.
No Delivery Experience details are showing on Amazon Business orders
Check that the Amazon Delivery Experience setting is on for the Amazon integration the order came from. Details only appear where the buyer has set receiving hours on Amazon.
The receiving hours are not showing on my shipping label
StoreFeeder stores the details in Special Instructions for your team to use. Whether they reach the label depends on the courier. For example, Amazon Shipping has no field to receive them, and TDG does not print them on the label. Plan the despatch date and choose the shipping method so the parcel arrives within the buyer's hours.
