This report is very similar to the Below Reorder level (Manual) report in that it will return all products where the calculated reorder level is less than the current inventory.
The difference in the report is obviously that we're using a different field to check if the item needs to be ordered and the calculated reorder level is a field that StoreFeeder calculates once a day for every product on your account.
How we calculate the calculated reorder level:
First we calculate a daily average order amount for your product.
To calculate this we look at your last 12 month worth of orders for each product, specifically orders in these following statuses:
Awaiting Payment
Complete (Ready To Pick)
Assigned
Picked
Despatched
Delivered
Pending (Waiting Part Stock)
And then divide the amount ordered over the time period to work out a daily amount ordered (which can be in decimals). If you' don't have enough data for a product for an entire year this is taken into account and adjusted based on when the first customer order for a product was placed.
Once we have a daily average for every product we then look at the lead time of the priority supplier for that product, if there is no lead time set it's by default set to be 1.
And then we multiple the daily average by the lead time to get a suggested amount to order, this value is rounded down to the nearest whole number so if your daily average is calculated to be below 0.5 you will not get suggested to order anything. For this reason this report will not be suitable for all businesses.
The calculated reorder level cannot be set manually and will automatically get recalculated each day.
