This guide explains how to list one of your StoreFeeder products on a channel, such as Amazon, eBay or Shopify, and how to fix the problems people most often hit.
Before you start
You'll need the following in place:
- A connected channel that is switched on in StoreFeeder.
- The product already set up in StoreFeeder, with at least a name, SKU and price. StoreFeeder copies these into the new listing for you.
Step 1: Find the product you want to list
Go to Products > Manage products and find your product. Click its name to open it, and make a note of its SKU.
Scroll down to the Listings panel to check which channels the product is already listed on. If it says This product is not listed on any channel yet, carry on to Step 2.
Step 2: Open the product on the classic screens
- In the left-hand menu, click Listings. This opens the classic StoreFeeder screens.
- In the top menu, go to Products > Manage Products.
- Type the product's SKU or name into the search box and press Enter.
- Click the product's SKU to open it.
Step 3: Start a new listing
In the left-hand panel of the product, click Listings, then click New Listing.
StoreFeeder asks which channel you want to list on. Click the channel.
Listing on Amazon: link to an existing product
If you chose Amazon, StoreFeeder opens a Link to Third Party Listing window, because the product may already exist in the Amazon catalogue. StoreFeeder fills in the product's barcode for you.
- To sell against an existing Amazon product, click Search and select the matching item. Some of its details are copied into your listing.
- If the product isn't on Amazon yet, click Create a New Product.
Step 4: Check the listing details
The listing details page for your chosen channel opens, with the title, SKU, price, weight and barcode copied from your product. Check these and fill in any remaining fields marked with *. The fields vary by channel.
Leave Listing controlled by StoreFeeder on if you want StoreFeeder to keep the listing's stock and price up to date from the product.
Step 5: Save and upload the listing
Click Save at the top of the page and choose one of:
- Save And Upload: saves the listing and sends it to the channel straight away.
- Save And Queue For Upload: saves the listing and adds it to the queue to be sent to the channel.
- Save Without Uploading: saves the listing in StoreFeeder only, so you can finish it later.
Once saved, the listing appears under Existing Listings on the product's Listings tab, along with its Listing Status.
Troubleshooting
The Create listing button is greyed out
This is expected in the new StoreFeeder. Follow Step 2 to create the listing on the classic screens.
The channel I want isn't in the list
Only channels that are connected and switched on appear. Check the channel's settings and make sure it is switched on.
The listing saved but isn't showing on the channel
If you chose Save Without Uploading, the listing hasn't been sent yet. Open it from the product's Listings tab and choose Save And Upload. If you queued it, allow time for the queue to process before checking again.
