This will help you set up zones within your warehouse to help optimise picking times
If you have not already created at least one 'Warehouse' on StoreFeeder, you will need to do so before creating 'Warehouse Zones'. For a guide on how to create warehouses, see this article here.
If you find that you're struggling to understand some of the terminology used, check out the StoreFeeder Terminology Knowledge Base by clicking here.
Warehouse Zones are used to assign pickbins to a specific location within a single warehouse. The step by step guide below will walk you trough how to create one. Should you want to create another, and it's likely you will, simply follow the guide again.
Creating a Warehouse Zone
Step 1.
To add a new Warehouse Zone, first navigate to StoreFeeder settings by clicking 'Settings' in the top right hand corner of the page, then 'Warehouse Management' tab in the menu on the left and then 'Warehouse Zones'.
You will see any existing warehouse zones you have set up in StoreFeeder, which 'Warehouse' they are in, the name of the 'Warehouse Zone' and the number of 'Stock Locations' currently assigned to to it.
To create a new Warehouse Zone click on the 'New Warehouse Zone' button.
Step 2.
You will see the 'Add Warehouse Zone' window. You will need to select the warehouse that the warehouse zone will be in from your existing warehouses and then enter the name of the zone in the 'Warehouse Zone Name' field.
Click the 'Save' button to add the warehouse zone.
Congratulations! You have created a warehouse zone. Simply repeat this process as many times as your warehouse requires.
Once you've mapped out your warehouse with warehouse zones you can now set up 'Stock Locations' for your products. For a guide on how to do so, visit this page here.
