This guide shows you how to set your Amazon listings to be fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) in StoreFeeder, so Amazon picks, packs and despatches the orders placed on your Amazon channel.
What is Fulfilment by Amazon?
Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) is a service where you send your stock to Amazon, they store it in their warehouse and, when an order is placed, they pick, pack and despatch it for you. For more information, visit the Amazon Services FBA website.
Orders for FBA listings import into StoreFeeder with the status Shipped By Amazon, so you do not need to process them.
Step 1: Turn on Fulfilment by Amazon for your Amazon channel
Go to Settings > Edit/View Integration and open the Amazon channel you want to use FBA with.
In the Amazon Specific Settings section, turn on Fulfilment by Amazon.
Step 2: Set the fulfilment type on your listings
Open the Amazon listing you want Amazon to fulfil. In the Fulfillment Availability section, choose the right option from the Fulfillment Channel Code list for the places you want Amazon to fulfil to, then save the listing.
A listing set to Fulfilment by Merchant (Default) is despatched by you as normal.
You can have a fulfilment of merchant and Amazon on 1 listing by using the "Add More" against Fulfillment availability and adding a second section with a different fulfilment code.
Fulfilment channel codes
Amazon can give you more detail on each of these, but a brief overview is:
- AMAZON_EU_RAFN — Remote Fulfilment with FBA across the EU. Amazon stores stock in one EU country and ships cross-border to other EU countries automatically.
- AMAZON_EU_VCS — VAT Calculation Service for the EU. Amazon calculates and displays VAT on invoices for EU orders.
- AMAZON_UK2NL_RAFN — Remote Fulfilment from the UK to the Netherlands. UK-held FBA stock is used to fulfil Dutch marketplace orders.
- AMAZON_UK2SE_RAFN — Remote Fulfilment from the UK to Sweden. As above, but for the Swedish marketplace.
- AMAZON_UK_RAFN — Remote Fulfilment within the UK FBA network.
- Fulfilment by Amazon (EU) — Standard FBA, specifically for EU fulfilment centres (stock stored in an EU warehouse).
- Fulfilment by Merchant (Default) — You ship the order yourself, with no Amazon fulfilment involved.
Troubleshooting
Orders for my FBA listings are not appearing as "Shipped By Amazon"
Check that Fulfilment by Amazon is turned on in the Amazon Specific Settings of the Amazon channel the listing belongs to, and that the listing's Fulfillment Channel Code is not still set to Fulfilment by Merchant (Default).
