In StoreFeeder it is possible to pre-generate the labels for your orders before the orders are picked or it can be done whilst the orders are being picked.
Pre-generating your labels means that when the time comes to pack your orders you are not having to wait for the labels to generate and print, they'll be there ready and waiting and will print instantly to make the whole process a lot smoother. The biggest impact of doing this will be seen by customers using scan and pack in StoreFeeder.
Pre-generate labels from inside a pickwave
If you go into the pickwave by clicking on the pickwave number you will go to the edit pickwave page. On the right-hand side, there is a list of actions you can do before despatching and pre-generate appears here.
To use this all you need to do is scroll down to the orders and tick the orders you want to pre-generate labels for and then use this drop down list and select to pre generate labels.
Once you have pre-generated the labels you should get a success message to let you know.
Pre-generate labels from the orders grid
Select the orders that you wish to pre-generate the labels for by ticking the order check box on the left hand side of the grid.
Then from the drop down menu, select 'Pre-Generate Labels' and click 'Confirm'
Once you have pre-generated the labels you should get a success message to let you know.
Whichever method you use, once the label is pre-generated, you will see a 'flag' on the order indicating this. You can see more about the flags here - https://support.storefeeder.com/hc/en-gb/articles/20522807349405-Filtering-for-pregenerated-orders
Either way, if you try to generate labels for a pickwave that already has labels you will get a warning to let you know you have already generated labels for that pickwave.
The error message you get to let you know this will come out like the below error:
