Generally, bluetooth finger scanners will work out of the box once they're paired and set to SPP mode.
This guide will cover how to reset and reconnect a finger scanner to a Unitech device if the ScanBridge app is installed. This should only be necessary if the finger scanner isn't correctly sending barcodes into the StoreFeeder app after connecting.
- Open the ScanBridge app and use the red button at the top right to disconnect the device
2. Switch to the Nearby tab and tap the ? icon at the bottom right to open a list of barcodes.
3. Using the finger scanner, scan the Reset barcode, BT-SPP barcode and the Unpair barcode. This is important, as if the finger scanner is reconnected without performing this step ScanBridge will automatically resync and you will have to start again.
4. Open the device settings and go to the bluetooth settings. Select the finger scanner and tap Forget.
5. Go to the device settings, open the app list. Select ScanBridge and tap Force stop.
Once these steps are complete, ScanBridge never needs to be opened again. Simply re-pair the finger scanner via bluetooth as normal, and connect in the StoreFeeder app settings.
