AI powered listing creation for Amazon

This guide explains how to use AI fill listing data to complete the Amazon Properties form from your existing product information, which fields it will and won't touch, and how to fix the problems people most often hit.

What does AI fill listing data do?

AI fill listing data suggests values for the Amazon Properties form, based on your StoreFeeder product information and the requirements of the Amazon product type you've selected. It can help complete:

• Required Amazon attributes
• Product descriptions
• Brand and manufacturer information
• Materials, dimensions and product characteristics
• Values from Amazon's dropdown lists
• Other properties specific to the product type

It doesn't search Amazon's catalogue. It generates suggestions for the product type and form currently on screen. StoreFeeder never saves or uploads the listing automatically.

Before you start

Make sure that:

• The correct Amazon Product Type is selected on the listing. The AI can't run until it is.
• The product record contains as much accurate information as possible.
• Existing titles, descriptions, identifiers and attributes are up to date.

Step 1: Select the product type

Open an Amazon listing in StoreFeeder. If a Product Type hasn't been chosen yet, select the most accurate one so the Properties form loads.

Step 2: Run AI fill listing data

Select AI fill listing data at the top of the page.

Read the AI information warning, then select OK to continue.

Wait while StoreFeeder generates the suggestions.

Step 3: Review the Properties form

When the suggestions are applied, StoreFeeder tells you how many fields were filled and how many were skipped. Fields filled by the AI are briefly highlighted. Required fields get a stronger highlight, because they need the closest check.

Check every suggested value, then correct or remove anything that isn't right.

Step 4: Save or upload the listing

When the listing is ready, save or upload it as normal. AI suggestions go through the same Amazon validation as any other value, so fix any missing or invalid information before you submit.

How your existing information is handled

The feature is designed to keep your existing work:

• Optional fields that already have a value are normally left unchanged.
• Fields StoreFeeder manages, such as parent and child relationships and variation themes, are never changed.
• Suggested dropdown values that aren't valid options are skipped.
• Suggestions for fields that aren't on the form are ignored.

Fields the AI never fills

For safety, the AI doesn't fill in regulatory fields relating to:

• URLs and document links
• Compliance information
• GPSR information
• Safety attestations

Complete these yourself, using verified information.

What StoreFeeder uses to generate suggestions

StoreFeeder may use:

• The product name, SKU, summary and description
• The EAN, UPC and ISBN
• The brand and manufacturer part number
• The product type and categories
• The price and recommended retail price
• The weight and dimensions
• The product composition
• Custom and variation attributes
• Titles and descriptions from the product's other channel listings

The AI also receives details of the Amazon fields on screen, including which are required, the valid dropdown options, and any length or number limits.

Tips for better results

• Use a clear, accurate product name.
• Add a valid EAN, UPC or ISBN where you have one.
• Complete the brand and manufacturer details.
• Add accurate dimensions, weights and materials.
• Keep custom product attributes up to date.
• Check the titles and descriptions on your other channel listings, as these may be used as source information.
• Treat the generated content as a draft, not verified product data.

Troubleshooting

"Please select a product type first before using AI to fill data."
The Properties form hasn't loaded yet. Select a Product Type on the listing, then select AI fill listing data again.

"AI returned suggestions but no fields were applied. Please review."
Every suggestion was skipped, usually because the optional fields already had values, or the suggested dropdown values weren't valid for this product type. Add more detail to the product record and try again, or fill the fields manually.

"Failed to parse AI suggestions. Please try again or contact support."
The AI returned a response StoreFeeder couldn't read. Try again. If it keeps happening, contact our support team.

"An unexpected error occurred while getting AI suggestions. Please try again or contact support."
Wait a minute and try again. If it keeps happening, contact our support team.

I can't see the AI fill listing data button
The feature may not be enabled on your account yet. Contact our support team.

Important guidance

AI-generated suggestions may be incomplete or incorrect. Check all generated information against the physical product, the manufacturer's documentation and Amazon's requirements before you publish. You are responsible for making sure your listing content is accurate, compliant and suitable for Amazon.
