This article explains the Daily briefing by DAVE on your Home page: what it shows, who can see it, and how often it updates.

What is the daily briefing?

The daily briefing is a short summary of your account's day, shown on your StoreFeeder Home page. It starts with a one-line headline, then lists up to five points, grouped into:

Needs attention — problems and warnings, most serious first.
For your information — good news and general updates.

If there's nothing worth flagging, you'll see Nothing to report today.

What the briefing looks at

The briefing is built from your StoreFeeder data, including:

Sales today, yesterday and last week, by warehouse
Your best-performing channels
Orders despatched, returned and cancelled
Picking performance and your average picking rate
Back orders waiting for stock
Orders that lost money
Overdue purchase orders
Products missing vital customs information, such as weight, harmonised code or country of manufacture

Some points link through to the page with more detail — for example, a back orders point opens your back orders in Orders, and a sales point opens the Sales dashboard. Click a point with an arrow to follow it.

Who can see it

The daily briefing is shown to Admin users who have permission to view overview statistics. Other users won't see the panel.

The briefing respects warehouse and channel permissions. If an Admin user is limited to certain warehouses or channels, their briefing only covers those.

How often it updates

A new briefing is built the first time someone opens the Home page each day, and kept until midnight in your account's time zone. The time it was built is shown at the bottom of the panel as Updated at.

To get a fresh briefing during the day, click Refresh. You can refresh once the current briefing is at least 30 minutes old. Until then the button is greyed out and shows The briefing was updated less than 30 minutes ago.

Who wrote the briefing?

The footer of the panel tells you how the briefing was written:

Based on your StoreFeeder data — the briefing was written from a standard template.
Written by DAVE using AI and your StoreFeeder data — DAVE wrote the wording using AI. The figures behind each point are the same, but you should check important figures before relying on them.

Troubleshooting

I can't see the daily briefing on my Home page
The briefing is only shown to Admin users with permission to view overview statistics. Ask an Admin user on your account to check your user permissions.

"Sorry, your daily briefing is currently unavailable"
StoreFeeder couldn't build the briefing just now. Reload the Home page after a few minutes. If it keeps happening, contact support.

The Refresh button is greyed out
The briefing was updated less than 30 minutes ago. The button becomes available automatically once 30 minutes have passed.

The briefing doesn't mention a warehouse or channel
Your user may be limited to certain warehouses or channels. The briefing only covers the ones you have access to.

Still stuck? Contact StoreFeeder support with your account name, the username you were logged in as, the Updated at time shown on the briefing, and which point looks wrong. This lets our team check the briefing you were shown.
