An Overview of DAVE

This article introduces DAVE, StoreFeeder's AI assistant, and explains which DAVE features come with your account and which need the paid Insights Pro add-on.

What is DAVE?

DAVE stands for Data Analytics and Visualisation Engine. DAVE reads your StoreFeeder data — orders, stock, despatches, sales and reports — and tells you what it means in plain English. You'll recognise DAVE by the purple robot icon next to anything DAVE has written or can do for you.

Which DAVE features are included and which are paid?

One DAVE feature is included with your StoreFeeder account. The others are part of Insights Pro, a paid add-on. In StoreFeeder and in this help centre, every paid DAVE feature is marked with this badge:  

Feature	What it does	Plan
Daily briefing	A short summary on your Home page of what needs attention today.	Included
Insights report summaries	Turns any Insights report into findings and suggested next steps.
Pricing profile helper	Turns a pricing rule you describe into a pricing profile formula.
Custom dashboards	Describe a dashboard and DAVE builds it from your live data.
Data Explorer	Query your reporting data, or ask DAVE a question and have it write the SQL.

Limits and things to watch for

• Always check DAVE's work. DAVE uses AI and can be wrong. Check important figures, formulas and queries before you rely on them.
• DAVE never makes changes on its own. Suggested formulas, SQL queries and dashboards are shown to you first. Nothing is saved until you save it.
• Some DAVE features are for Admin users only. Each feature's article says who can use it.
• DAVE has a daily allowance. If your account uses it up, DAVE features stop for the rest of the day and work again the next day.
