Overview
Listings in StoreFeeder represent the individual product records that are published to your sales channels. A listing is always linked to a product in SF, which allows inventory levels, prices, and product data to stay synchronised across all your channels from one central place.
This guide covers the key areas of working with listings: what listings are and how to manage them, the channels SF supports, how to create a new listing, how to update an existing listing, and how to update a listing using a product sync.
1. Listings
What Is a Listing?
A listing is a channel-specific record for a product. One product in SF can have multiple listings, one per channel, each with its own title, price, description, and channel-specific settings. When a channel is activated and connected to SF, any existing active listings on that channel are automatically downloaded into the Listings section.
Navigating to Listings
Go to Listings in the left-hand menu to access all listing-related options, including:
- Manage Listings – view, filter, and edit all listings
- Bulk Upload Listings – list multiple products to a channel in one go
- Listing Import/Export – export and import listing data in bulk via spreadsheet
Listing Status Codes
Each listing has a status that shows its current state on the channel:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not on Channel | The product has not yet been listed to this channel |
| Active on Channel | The listing is live and currently selling |
| Deleted from Channel | The listing was previously live but has been removed |
| Attention Required | The listing has an issue that needs user action |
| Pending Upload | The listing is queued and waiting to go live |
| Updating on Channel | The listing is currently being synced with the channel |
Filtering Listings
On the Manage Listings page, use the Channels dropdown to filter listings by a specific channel. You can also filter by status to quickly identify listings that need attention or are pending upload.
2. Different Channels
SF supports listings across a wide range of marketplaces and webstores. Each channel has its own listing fields, requirements, and settings.

- eBay
- Etsy

- Price Minister

- The Range

Channel-Specific Fields
Each channel has its own set of listing fields that can be used when creating or updating listings. Common fields shared across all channels include Listing ID, Product SKU, Listing SKU, Name, Description, Listing Price, and inventory settings. Channel-specific examples include:
- Amazon – ASIN, Bullet Points, Search Terms, Fulfilled Channel Code, Shipping Group
- eBay – Postage & Packaging costs, Listing Condition, Best Offer settings, Shipping/Payment/Returns Policies
- Shopify / Magento / BigCommerce / EKM – Meta Descriptions, Pricing Profiles, Category Mappings
- TikTok – Streamlined basic product information fields
Note: Before creating a listing on any channel, you must first have a Product set up in SF. The listing is always linked back to a product.
3. Creating a New Listing
Single Listing (Manual)
This method is used to create a listing for one product on a specific channel.
- Navigate to Listings in the left-hand menu.
- Click the green New Listing button.
- Select the channel you want to list on (e.g. eBay, Amazon).
- Complete the listing tabs as required (see below).
- Click Save and Upload to publish immediately (takes 3–4 minutes), or Save and Queue for Upload to publish within one hour.
Note: Fields highlighted in red are required. The listing will not save or upload if any required fields are missing.
Listing Tabs
Basic Information Core product details pull through automatically from the linked product but can be edited at the listing level:
- Title – taken from the product name (editable)
- SKU – taken from the product SKU (editable)
- Price – taken from the product price (editable)
- Subtitle – up to 55 characters (eBay; incurs an additional fee)
- Max Inventory – caps the quantity shown on the channel regardless of actual stock
- Oversell – allows you to list more units than you currently hold in SF
- Out of Stock Threshold – ends or zeroes the listing when stock reaches this level
- VAT Percent – the applicable tax rate
- Automatic Relisting – relists the product when stock is replenished (requires the setting to be enabled on the integration)
- Keep Listing Live When Out of Stock – maintains search ranking but standard channel fees apply
Inventory Type controls how the displayed quantity is calculated. The three options are:
- Inventory + Oversell
- Inventory + Oversell + Priority Supplier Inventory
- Inventory + Oversell + Sum of All Suppliers' Inventory
You can also specify what percentage of the selected inventory type is used.
Description Enter the listing description, with optional HTML formatting. If a product description has already been entered on the product record, it will auto-populate here. For eBay listings, you can apply a pre-built eBay Listing Template from the dropdown.
Images Select which product images to include in the listing. Images must be at least 500 x 500 pixels. Use the numbering system to set the display order.
Categories & Item Specifics (channel-dependent)
- Select primary and secondary categories, navigating down to the leaf category level.
- Complete Item Specifics – bold fields are mandatory. SF will automatically map matching product data (e.g. Brand). Leave any unmapped fields as "None" or enter values manually.
- For eBay, import Store Categories from your eBay channel if needed.
Condition & Duration (eBay)
- Select listing duration: 3, 5, 7, 10, or 30 days, or Good 'Til Cancelled.
- Select the item condition and add a condition description for used items.
Shipping Configure up to 4 domestic and 5 international postage options. Set base costs and per-unit additional costs. Specify weight and unit type. Domestic and international rate tables can be enabled if set up on the channel.
Payment & Handling (eBay)
- Set maximum purchase quantity per transaction.
- Configure handling time (in days).
- Set item location (pulled from integration settings).
- Apply domestic and international shipping discounts.
- Enable Click and Collect or Get It Fast if available on your account.
Bulk Listing (Multiple Products at Once)
Use this method to list many products to a channel in a single action.
- Hover over Listings in the menu bar and click Bulk Upload Listings.
- Select the channel from the dropdown.
- Click Not On Channel to see all products not yet listed to that channel.
- Select the default settings for the channel (e.g. eBay Default Settings for eBay).
- Optionally, tick Link To Product Price so listing prices update automatically when product prices change.
- Select the products you want to list.
- Adjust pricing if needed, then click Upload Products.
4. Updating a Listing
Editing a Single Listing
- Go to Listings > Manage Listings.
- Find the listing you want to edit (use the channel filter if needed).
- Click Edit on the listing.
- Make your changes across the relevant tabs.
- Save and upload or queue the listing as appropriate.
Bulk Updating Listings via Import/Export
For updating many listings at once, use the Listing Import/Export feature.
Exporting Listings
- Go to Listings > Listing Import/Export > Export.
- Select the channel you want to export (one channel at a time).
- Choose the fields to export. Selecting Standard Fields exports all available fields for that channel.
- Click Export to download the file in .XLS format.
- Optionally, save your field selection as a template for reuse - templates can be named, set as a favourite, or made public.
Importing Updates
- Open the exported file and make your changes.
- Go to Listings > Listing Import/Export > Import (Update Existing).
- Decide whether to enable Update to Channel automatically on import.
- Select the channel and upload your updated file.
- After file validation, designate the key field used for matching (Listing ID or Listing SKU).
- Map the remaining columns to the correct fields (matching field names auto-populate).
- Configure the import options:
- Create New Items – creates listings in SF that don't already exist when enabled
- Skip Blank Fields – preserves existing values for any empty cells in your file
- Append New Records – adds to existing field values rather than replacing them
- Click Import.
Tip: Use the Import History tab to review previous imports, including the channel, user, timestamp, rows affected, and filename.
5. Updating a Listing from a Product Sync
SF allows listing fields to be linked directly to the product record, so that when the product is updated, the listing automatically reflects those changes - without needing to edit each listing individually.
Linking the Listing Price to the Product Price
The most common product sync is price. When no price is set at the listing level, SF pulls the price from the linked product automatically.
For a single listing:
- Go to Listings > Manage Listings.
- Click Edit on the listing.
- Find the price field (labelled "Buy It Now Price" on eBay, or similar on other channels).
- For eBay, click the Link to Product Price option next to the price field.
- For other channels, clear any existing value from the price field, leaving it empty.
- Save the listing.
For multiple listings (bulk):
- Go to Listings > Listing Import/Export > Export.
- Select the channel and include the Listing Price field in your export.
- Export the file and open it.
- Delete all values in the Listing Price column, leaving those cells empty.
- Go to Listings > Listing Import/Export > Import (Update Existing).
- Upload your modified file and complete the import.
Note: A known issue exists where deleting prices on individual listings can generate "enter your price" error messages. The bulk import method avoids this.
How Product Data Flows to Listings
When a listing is mapped to a product in SF, the following data can flow from the product to the listing:
- Price – via the "Link to Product Price" setting or by leaving the listing price blank
- Inventory / Stock Levels – always controlled at the product level; the listing displays stock based on the Inventory Type setting
- Description – auto-populates when creating a new listing if a description exists on the product
- Images – available for selection when setting up the listing
Important: Inventory is always managed at the product level in SF. The listing displays stock according to the Inventory Type configuration (e.g. Inventory + Oversell), but the underlying stock count lives on the product.
Mapping and Remapping Listings
For a listing to sync with a product, it must be mapped. A linked-chain icon in the Mapped column confirms a listing is connected.
To map a listing:
- Go to Listings > Manage Listings and filter by channel.
- Find the unmapped listing and click Create/Map.
- Search for the matching product by name or SKU.
- Select the product from the results and confirm.
To unmap and remap a listing:
Single listing: Hover over the channel identifier on the listing row - additional options will appear. Click Redownload to unmap it and trigger a fresh download.
Multiple listings: Select the checkboxes for the listings you want to redownload, then click the Redownload button in the toolbar above the grid.
Once redownloaded, the listings appear as unmapped and can be remapped to the correct products.
