Once you have created either a simple or variant product in StoreFeeder, you will be ready to list that product. For more information on creating products please visit the links below:
For 'Simple Products', please see this knowledgebase.
For 'Variation Products', please see this knowledgebase.
For 'Kit Products', please see this knowledgebase.
To begin creating your listing, click on 'Listings' in the menu on the left of the screen. You will be taken to the 'Existing Listings' page. Here, click on the green 'New Listing' button circled below to start creating a listing.
Next you will need to select the channel you wish to list to. In this case it will be 'eBay'.
Once you have selected the channel, you will see the eBay listing page. Some of the basic information has been carried over from the product you have created. The product name will be used as the 'Title', the SKU will be carried over and used as the 'Listing SKU' and the 'Price' will also be the same as it is on the product. All of these fields can be changed if you wish.
The other fields on the page are:
Subtitle: Any subtitle information that you want to appear on the listing can be entered here. You can use up to 55 characters, but using a subtitle will incur an additional listing fee with eBay.
Item ID: This will be created when you upload the listing. Any existing listings will already contain an Item ID. Changing it will cause the listing to be orphaned by StoreFeeder and we will no longer update stock or inventory on the listing.
Max Inventory: This field allows you to determine the maximum inventory that the listing will show, regardless of what inventory you have for the product in StoreFeeder. For example, if you set the Max Inventory to 5, but have 10 in StoreFeeder, the listing will always show 5 even when one is sold. Once your inventory in StoreFeeder goes below the specified Max Inventory, the true inventory will be shown on the listing.
Oversell: Using this feature, you can list more inventory than you have of a product in StoreFeeder. For example, if you have a reliable supplier and know you can get the stock quickly, you can enter a value that will keep the listing live past what inventory you have on the product in StoreFeeder. Additionally, this feature can be used to keep a listing live when you are out of stock on the product without letting the listing appear out of stock on channel.
VAT Percent: This field lets you set an individual VAT percentage for this product.
Automatic Relisting: Setting this switch to 'On' will automatically relist a product after it has gone out of stock and inventory has since been added to the product. Note: The 'Automatic Relisting' option will also have to be enabled on your eBay Integrations page for this to work.
Keep Listing Live When Out Of Stock: This option will keep the listing live once the product's stock has been depleted or you reach your out of stock threshold. The listing will maintain its ranking on eBay, but you will be charged your normal fee for the listing while it is live. This option cannot be removed from a listing once it has been applied, so the only way to remove it from a listing would be to delete the listing itself.
Inventory Type Settings
You can also set where the inventory for the listing comes from as well as what percentage of your inventory will be applied to the listing. There are three different types of inventory settings:
Inventory + Oversell: This will use the inventory on your product as well as your oversell amount if you have entered one.
Inventory + Oversell + Priority Supplier Inventory: This will use the inventory on your product as well as your oversell amount if you have entered one, plus the inventory of your priority supplier specified on the product.
Inventory + Oversell + Sum Of Suppliers Inventory: This will use the inventory on your product as well as your oversell amount if you have entered one, plus the total inventory of all of your suppliers.
You can then enter what percentage of the selected inventory type is to be used. You do NOT need to click 'Save & Upload' when moving between the listing tabs on the left of the page.
The 'Description' tab allows you to enter the description information that will be uploaded to the listing, as well as HTML formatting if you require it. If you have description information already entered on the product you are trying to list, then it will automatically populate the description field when creating a listing.
If you are using listing templates, then you can apply any template you have uploaded to your listing at this point. Simply select the name of your listing template from the 'eBay Template' drop down menu. For more information on adding a listing template to StoreFeeder, please see this knowledgebase.
On the 'Categories & Item Specifics' page you will first see the 'Categories' section. Here you will need to select the 'Primary' and 'Secondary' categories that your listing will appear in order for your listing to be pushed to eBay. You will need to follow each category through to the final leaf category.
The 'Item Specifics' section is also required information in order for the listing to go live. Any Item Specific that is highlighted in bold is required. Any Item Specific that matches information that has been added to your product, for example Brand, will be automatically mapped.
To map up the item specifics, simply select the corresponding field from the drop down box. If there is no information on your product that matches an Item Specific that you require, for example MPN in the image below, then leave the 'Mapping Field' as 'None'. You will now be able to edit the field in the 'Value' column to contain the information that you wish to add to the listing. To add another Item Specific click the 'Add New Item Specific' button.
If you have set up any 'eBay Item Specific' sets on your eBay Integration (settings>edit/view integration next to your eBay channel>eBay Item Specifics), then these sets will be automatically used when you select a category that has a set created using that same category. If you want to change any of the mappings that have been used, then you can alter these on a listing by listing basis.
'Store Categories' need to be created on your eBay channel and are imported into StoreFeeder. You can have both a 'Primary Store Category' and a 'Additional Store Category', although only the Primary Store Category is required. For more information on importing your Store Categories, see this knowledgebase.
In the 'Duration and Condition' information, you can set the 'Listing Duration' you want the listing to be live for. The durations available are: 3 Days, 5 Days, 7 Days, 10 Days, 30 Days and Good 'Til Cancelled (GTC).
You will also need to select a 'Listing Condition'. These are taken from the category that you are trying to list into. You can add a 'Condition Description' for any condition apart from new.
Ebay setting
The 'Shipping' tab allows you to set the shipping and courier information to your listings. In the 'Shipping' section you will need to add the eBay postage methods that you want to appear on your listing. You can have up to 4 Domestic postage methods and up to 5 International postage methods per listing. To add eBay postage methods to StoreFeeder, please see this knowledgebase.
When selecting the postage services, the name you will see is the one it was given when it was created in StoreFeeder. Underneath the selected you will see the provider of the shipping service, showing you exactly which service is selected. You can set the 'Basic Cost' and the 'Additional Cost', which is the cost per additional unit ordered.
The 'Shipping Settings' section allows you to specify if you want the listing to use your 'Domestic' and 'International Rate Tables' and what the 'product weight' is. The unit of the weight can also be specified by selecting it from the dropdown box.
Finally, 'Payment & Handling' information will need to be set. You can select any additional 'Payment Methods' in addition to eBay's default PayPal payment method, however none of these are required. 'Handling' information can be set for the listing too:
Maximum Purchase Quantity - The maximum number of items that can be purchased in one transaction.
Handling Time - The time, in days, it will take for this item to be processed and despatched.
Item Location - The location your item will be shipped from. This is specified on on your eBay integration's eBay shipping tab. For more information see this knowledgebase.
Domestic Shipping Discount - You can select any shipping discounts for domestic orders. These discounts are set on channel and then imported into StoreFeeder. For more information see this knowledgebase.
International Shipping Discount - You can select any shipping discounts for international orders. These discounts are set on channel and then imported into StoreFeeder. For more information see this knowledgebase.
Click and Collect - Click and collect can be enabled for a listing if you have the service available on your eBay account.
Combined Shipping Discount - If you have any rules for combined shipping discount setup on your eBay store, this option will apply them to your listing. For more information on how to import the rules into StoreFeeder, see this knowledgebase.
Get it Fast - If you eBay account has 'Get It Fast' enabled, setting this option to 'Yes' will apply it to the listing.
Once you have filled in all of the relevant information, you will be able to upload the product to channel.
When saving the listing, you have two options:
Save and Upload - This will save the listing and upload it straight to channel. Depending on the size and information on the listing, this could take 3-4 minutes.
Save and Queue For Upload - This will save the listing and queue the listing for upload at a later time. The listing will be uploaded to channel within an hour. This option is useful if you are creating or editing multiple eBay listings at one time.
If you are seeing an error when listing, it could be that some required information is missing. Fields and options highlighted in 'Red' are values that are required in order for the product to list.
You will now be able to view your listing live on eBay.
