This guide shows you how to break the link between a listing and its product by redownloading the listing, and how to map it again afterwards. Use it if a listing is mapped to the wrong product, or if the listing has changed on the channel and StoreFeeder's copy is out of date.
Before you start
If you're redownloading more than a handful of listings, save a record of how they're mapped now:
- Go to Listings > Listings Import Export.
- On the Export tab, choose the channel from the Channel dropdown.
- Open Fields to Export. Listing SKU and Product SKU (Read Only) are ticked by default. Tick Parent Product SKU (Read Only) as well.
- Click Export and keep the file somewhere safe.
The export only includes listings that are mapped, so take it before you redownload anything.
Step 1: Find the listings
Go to Listings > Manage Listings. Use the filter boxes under the column headings, such as Channel, Listing SKU or Name, to narrow the grid down to the listings you want to redownload.
Step 2: Redownload the listings
For one listing: hover over the listing's Channel Identifier. Links appear underneath it. Click Redownload.
For several listings: tick the checkbox next to each listing, then click Redownload in the toolbar above the grid.
StoreFeeder breaks the link to the product straight away and downloads the listing again in the next download cycle. The listing then appears as unmapped.
Step 3: Map the listings again
Once the listings have downloaded again, map them to the right products. Choose the method that suits the number of listings:
- One listing at a time: click Create/Map on the listing row. See Manually Mapping Listings to Products in StoreFeeder.
- Listings whose SKU matches a product SKU: use Map All By SKU. See Map All by SKU.
- Many listings, using the file you exported: use Import & Map Unmapped. See How to Map Listings by Spreadsheet.
Things to watch for
- Redownloaded listings are controlled by StoreFeeder again. If you'd set a listing so StoreFeeder doesn't update it, that setting is reset. See Preventing StoreFeeder from Updating Specific Listings.
- Orders for unmapped listings come in as unrecognised. Map the listings as soon as they've downloaded. See Why are my orders importing as "unrecognised".
Troubleshooting
The listing hasn't reappeared
Listings come back in the next download cycle, so allow some time. If it still hasn't appeared, check whether the listing is active on the channel. Depending on the channel, StoreFeeder may only download active listings. Some channels have an integration setting to download inactive listings as well. Check your channel's integration settings.
Map All By SKU says the product doesn't exist
The listing SKU doesn't match any product SKU in StoreFeeder. Use the file you exported in Before you start to find the product it was mapped to, then map it manually or by spreadsheet.
