Importing Listings with a HTML Template

Q. I have imported my listings and am creating products from them, but I can't see the description on the product page. I use a HTML listing template, is this affecting my descriptions?

A.  Yes, if you use a listing template the description is populated with HTML as well as text. When importing from eBay you will see a description, but when you create a product from the listing the description will not show. Don't worry, this is quite normal.  Simply let our support team know and when you have mapped your products we can update the product descriptions for you by removing the HTML (leaving you with clean descriptions).

We can remove HTML and leave clean descriptions for you but only if you have used a professional template or an eBay template.  If your HTML is home produced and of poor quality it is much harder for us to identify the description and we may not be able to clean the data.  In this scenario, we'd ask you to clean your listings of HTML prior to importing. We can then re-introduce the HTML as a template for when listings are updated through the StoreFeeder system.
